mathdept.app
Effective Date: July 14, 2026 | Last Updated: July 14, 2026
Introduction
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Math Dept (mathdept.app), a math intervention and analytics platform developed and administered by Robert Rajewich. By signing in to the application, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the application.
Authorized Use
Math Dept is intended exclusively for authorized staff members at participating schools for the purpose of managing math intervention and department analytics. Access is granted only to individuals registered in the application by an administrator. Use of the application for any purpose other than its intended educational function is prohibited.
Account Responsibility
Authentication is managed through your school's Google Workspace account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account credentials. Do not share your login credentials or allow others to access Math Dept using your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, notify your school administration immediately.
Student Data and Confidentiality
Math Dept contains student education records protected by FERPA. You must access student data only for legitimate educational purposes related to your role. You must not share student information with unauthorized individuals. Any exported data must be handled in accordance with your district's data security policies and must not be stored on unsecured personal devices or shared via unsecured channels. Violations of student data confidentiality may result in disciplinary action and may constitute a violation of federal law.
Data Accuracy
Student roster data, grades, and schedules are sourced from the participating district's data systems via dated exports and are refreshed regularly. Math Dept does not modify student grades or academic records in the district's systems. While every effort is made to ensure data accuracy, discrepancies should be reported to school administration. Intervention flags and placement actions entered by staff reflect the professional judgment of the individual staff member.
Acceptable Use
When using Math Dept, you agree to use the application only for its intended purpose, not attempt to access data beyond what your assigned role permits, not export or download student personally identifiable information (PII) for unauthorized purposes, not attempt to circumvent security controls or access restrictions, not use automated tools or scripts to extract data from the application without authorization, and report any security vulnerabilities or data concerns to the Math Dept administrator promptly.
Session Security
For the protection of student data, your session will automatically expire after a period of inactivity. You will need to sign in again using your Google Workspace account. Always sign out when you are finished using the application, especially on shared devices.
Intellectual Property
Math Dept, including its design, code, and functionality, is the intellectual property of the application developer. Participating schools are granted a license to use the application for its intended educational purposes. This license does not transfer ownership of the application or its underlying technology. Student data remains the property of the participating school and district as described in the Privacy Policy.
Termination of Access
Individual access to Math Dept may be revoked at any time by school administration. Access ends when a staff member leaves the participating school or is deactivated in the application. Accounts may also be deactivated for violations of these Terms of Use or district policies. The Math Dept administrator reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for any participating school or individual user.
Limitation of Liability
Math Dept is provided as a tool to support intervention management and department analytics. While every effort is made to ensure reliability and data accuracy, the application is provided as-is without warranty of any kind. The application developer is not liable for decisions made based on data presented in the application. Academic and intervention decisions should always involve professional judgment and may require verification from official district records.
Changes to These Terms
These Terms of Use may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the application after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Participating schools will be notified of significant changes.
